King Brain Cider: organic Somerset cider

Organic cider, grown from the ground up.

King Brain grows, harvests and presses its own organic cider apples in traditional Somerset orchards, producing characterful cider entirely on the family farm.

Five generations of farming. One organic cider house.

Jon and Matt are at least the fifth generation of the King Brain family to farm at Little Weston, near Cadbury Castle. Their cider is made on the farm from organic apples grown in traditional Somerset cider orchards.

The fruit is harvested, pressed and fermented at Little Weston, keeping the cider closely connected to the orchards and the land it comes from.

Traditional orchards, farmed with nature.

King Brain’s cider apples are grown organically in the farm’s own traditional orchards. The farming approach avoids artificial fertilisers and pesticides, while looking after soils, wildlife habitat and the wider Somerset landscape.

  • Organic cider apples grown in King Brain’s own orchards
  • Heritage Somerset varieties including Yarlington Mill and Dunkerton Late
  • Cattle graze the traditional orchards as part of the wider farm system
  • Bottled ciders certified organic by the Soil Association
